The Shadow is about a young boy who is constantly bullied and made fun of, Mark Fickleburg. Mark's parents have died a long time ago and his sister is no where to be found. One day when Mark is going back home with a friend, something clicks inside of him, and the demon inside of him possesses Mark. Later on some demon lords take Mark to the Demon King, where he promises Mark a cure to his possession. The problem is that Mark has to kill a few people to kill the main targets, and if you kill more people, you will form grudges and many will turn their backs towards you. This pixelated game tests the player's skill of reasoning and tends to divert players from violence to appropriate actions.
